Information session & Entrance Examination

In-School information session (including campus tour)

Junior High School students and parents are welcome to join us in an information session.
Date: July 25 (Sat), August 8 (Sat), August 23 (Sun)
Time: 10:00~13:00 (Registration 9:30-10:00)
Location: Senior High School at Sakado, University of Tsukuba.
*Pre-Registration is not required.

Orientation for Entrance Examination

Junior High School students and parents are welcome to join us in an orientation focused on the application process and entrance examination.
Date: September 27 (Sun) , October 25 (Sun), November 21 (Sat) , December 13 (Sun)
Time: 13:30~15:30 (Registration 13:00-13:30)
Location: Senior High School at Sakado, University of Tsukuba.
*Please register 3 days prior to the session by either E-mail, FAX or phone.

Admissions Policy

・Person who has interest in the international community and is eager to actively work internationally.
・Person who is excellent in problem-solving ability, communication ability and international knowledge.
・Person who has high motivation to study, think independently, act independently and work well with others.

Eligibility for Enrollment

Person who fulfills one of the following conditions (1) ~ (3):
(1) Person who has graduated from Junior High School or equivalent, or will graduate by March, 2015.
(2) Persons who has completed the first half curriculum of Junior High School, or will complete it by March 2015.
(3) Person who is superior to Junior High School graduate level in academic ability. (Persons who is approved for application by the confirmation of eligibility)

SG Entrance Examination

Date: January 19 (Tue), 2016 (Application Period: January 9 [Fri], 10 [Sat])
Enrollment Limit: 40

Selection Method

TYPE Ⅰ
① Documents (records of study, reason for application)
② Tests: English (compulsory), Japanese language or Mathematics (question and answer in Japanese)
③ Interview (spoken language is Japanese)
*The selection is made comprehensively using the results of the above ① through ③.
*Students returning from abroad, foreign examinees can choose TYPE Ⅱ.

TYPE Ⅱ
① Documents (records of study, reason for application)
*Extra-curricular activities are considered.
② Written tests (English)
③ Essay (question in English or Japanese, answer in English or Japanese)
④ Interview (spoken language is either English or Japanese)
*The selection is made comprehensively using the results of the above ① through ④.

*English test is exempted for the person who have qualification of CEFR B1 level English (STEP Eiken 2nd Grade)
*This applies to both TYPEⅠand TYPE Ⅱ.
